Howard Benjamin Grose (1851-1939)

Nascimento: 5 de setembro de1851, Millerton, New York.

Falecimento: 19 de maio de 1939, Ballston Spa, New York.

Grose frequentou a Universidade de Chicago, Illinois, e a Universidade de Rochester, Nova Iorque (AB 1876, AM 1880). Ele foi ordenado ministro baptista em 1883, e ministrou na First Baptist Church (Primeira Igreja Batista), Poughkeepsie, Nova Iorque (1883-1887) e também na First Baptist Church (Primeira Igreja Batista), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1888-1890). Ele também prestou serviços como presidente da Universidade de Dakota do Sul (1890-92), ensinou história na Universidade de Chicago (1892-96), foi editor assistente de The Watchman (Vigia) em Boston (1896-1900), e secretário editor na American Baptist Home Mission Society (1904-1910), e editou Missions Journal durante 23 anos. Ele viveu os seus últimos anos da sua vida em Monte Vernon, Nova Iorque. Os seus trabalhos incluem:
