William Paton Mackay (1839 to 1885)

William Paton Mackay, médico e pastor escocês, nasceu em Montrose, Escócia,em 13 de Maio de 1839. Educado na Universidade de Edimburgo, ele praticou Medina por alguns anos. Sentindo-se chamado para o ministério, abandonou sua prática médica, e foi ordenado e tornou-se pastor da Igreja Prospect Street, Hull, em 1868. Dezassete de seus hinos foram impressas em 1872. Entre eles está o seu o hino desafiador "Revive Us Again". Viria a falecer em Portree, na Escócia em 22 de Agosto de 1885.
