de Abril de 1824, nascimento de Anne Ross Cundell Cousin, autora do
hino "The Sands of Time Are Sinking." Ela foi música, escritora e
linguista. Anne educou-se e cresceu na Igreja da Inglaterra, mas depois
tornou-se presbiteriana e casou-se com William Cousin, um ministro da
Igreja Livre da Escócia. Ela criou o "Sands of Time" a partir de frases
escritas nas cartas de Samuel Rutherford (1600-1661), o famoso pregador
escocês. A sua filha disse uma vez que a Sra. Cousin "ajustou o padrão
dos seus versos linha por linha", quando ela se sentava a costurar no
presbitério, em Irvine, onde seu marido era pastor. Ela tem sido chamado
de "A Christina Rossetti”, com uma teologia mais pronunciado.
